Odunsi rated an 89
I just saw that Anthony Odunsi was rated by ESPN. He is rated an 89, by comparison Sledge is a 91, Cook is a 95. Anthony Odunsi 2011 Basketball Recruiting Profile - ESPN
Scouting report is very similar to what Chris said he was.

It says that he needs to work on shooting. I think Fred can help! Seems like we are recruiting a lot of Combo Guards. Really excited to see our offense.

Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought."

That's actually one thing I've noticed. All the guards that we've been recruiting seem to have the ability to get inside, but lack in the shooting game. It's a good thing coach can teach people how to shoot.

I'm certainly impressed by what Fred has done since getting the job. I'm not going to assume, however, that his shooting skills will automatically transfer to his players. It's not that easy. If it were, everyone who played for Ted Williams would have been a .400 hitter.

A hitting coach can't teach a hitter to see a pitch the way Ted Williams did.
It remains to be seen if CFH can teach shooting to the masses.
We have been told (and I don't question) he was able to help one individual.

Re: Odunsi rated an 89
McGee, Allen, Babb, and Scotty can all shoot from beyond the arc. Ejim is better than we thought and Phillips is streaky, from what we have heard.
Sounds like Odunsi needs improvement, and Sledge is solid from outside.

Re: Odunsi rated an 89
We don't need five guys who can shoot (from 3, or otherwise). I'd rather have a couple shooters, a couple of rebounders and an all around scorer, with a nice mix of defensive ability and athletic ability to get down the floor for some easy points in transition.

Hate to say it but you could describe Curtis Stinson the exact same way. Hopefully this guy turns out to be like Curtis. One of my favorite players ever. Hope he has the tear drop in the lane.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I'm more impressed with the upgrade in athleticism in the guards and wing players. We'll be able to keep the heat on the other teams perimeter players, defensively.
That and the versatility of next years group.
McGee can play 1 or 2
Babb, 2 or 3
Ejim, 3 or 4
White, unless his skills disappeared through inactivity, 2, 3 ,4 ,5.
I think Allen is strictly 2 and Sledge is strictly 1.

The majority of players that aren't given boundaries will exceed those boundaries if they aren't made aware of them. Of course he shoulders a good portion of the "blame".

I appreciated the fact that Curtis wanted the ball in his hands at crunch time. Thats not something that should be taken lightly.
