People always find something to ***** about. Our practice facility is more than fine.

Why did Tom Herman screw up this facility?

Re: ISU has cheapest BB practice facility in Big 12
Really? Firstly, a couple of those include arena renovations, and we also had a substantial amount of the cost removed due to the land being donated.

I didn't read the OP as ********, just stating fact (if in deed a fact - I didn't check the the link).

Maybe if people donated more, we could have limestone exterior walls too(as it says in the article). But seriously, everything is relative, every facility has something different that adds to the cost of it.
And for those that did not read the article, there is a chart on the left hand side that says how much each school has spent/will spend on a basketball practice facility.

It may not be the most expensive, but I guarantee it's just as nice as those others, if not nicer.

Iowa State did what was most efficient. I'd rather have what we have than be waiting 5 more years for something fancy. No practice facility (on high ground) during the flood situation would have been a complete and total nightmare.

The reason for the limestone is for the simple fact that Kstates entire campus matches and it is all limestone. Pretty neat actually, good for them. We still have a great complex, we will be fine.

Hoiberg mentions the facilities in this article. Sounds like he feels ISU's are good enough to compete.
"Hoiberg's role with the Timberwolves in recent years has included traveling the country to scout college talent. That left him with an understanding that Iowa State's facilities, including the year-old basketball practice facility, compare favorably with any in the nation and it also prepared him for the rigors of recruiting." Hoiberg expects some gray hairs on ISU bench -
Re: ISU has cheapest BB practice facility in Big 12
ISU has to do things smarter and more economical than other schools. Like it or not we have one of the lowest budgets of any school in any major conference.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
