So 2k Sports hosts an NCAA basketball tourney, but doesnt have an NCAA bball game?

Not their fault though, EA is to blame here. Full rights and no game this year either. At least 2K is doing something for long time gamers.

I bought NCAA MM 2005 and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made, next to buying COD: World at War. For some reason I bought the 2010 version and somehow nothing changed and the game still sucked. I have to stop buying so many games...

2K8 was better, no doubt, but I had some fun with the other one once I learned how it worked.

But, they are working at updating the rosters again for College Hoops 2K8 - which is an amazing game - just annoying that it's VERY out of date. The jerseys are all wrong, we don't have the I State logo, and the 3 point line is still at it's old place.

Being someone that LOVED the coaching carasoul, I would be ok with these minor imperfections. I simmed the season and only played in the conference and NCAA tourney, so I only played 6-10 games per season anyway.

My favorit part was to be able to hire and fire assistant coaches. Being the nerd I am, I actually tracked where my assistants went (and their assistants) and their accomplishments and such. It was cool being able to see your own coaching tree. I did the same with ISU, Iowa, UNI and Drake coaches.
