    DeMarcus Phillips could play vs. Drake

    Just got done interviewing Fred Hoiberg. I asked him about DeMarcus Phillips' health. Here is his answer.

    “DeMarcus got his cast off yesterday. He has been cleared for light activities but no contact yet. He is in a soft cast and hopefully over the next week he will be able to pick it up and get to live drills next week is our hope. Maybe we’ll get him back for the Drake game next week.”

    Has what it takes to be an athletic scoring guard for us. I've had him pegged as a starter since we signed him. This injury is a setback but hopefully he ups his aggressiveness and gets a little less unselfish (if that makes sense) and I think he'll be a big part of our team this season. He's got a lot of tools and ability and is really strong.

    It's not worth rushing him back imho. Not that I would know what "rushing" is in this case.

    DeMarcus Phillips' defense reminds me of Tinsleys (a little bit), but his "O" skills look a lot like Dedric Willoughby! (imo)
