Are you ******* kidding me? Hoiberg is a possibility in KC but not 30 mins from where he coaches? What a joke. I can't even come up with the reason you may do this. Unless it is just to **** off Cyclone fans but, at this point, that sort of thing is just getting redundant.

Re: Fred on very soon with Perrault

I too was hoping Matt and Miller would devote some time to the ISU Drake game. Especially after Matt scoffed at Chris for picking the clones by 10. I know they had all there NFL guests, but they could have taken some time away from baseball talk. Not sure this is a huge baseball market...

Anywho, I guess we shall see how the clones play away from Hilton this weekend...

Just so you know Matt, you can talk college bball for two solid hours and I will listen. Even Valley or other mid-major teams. I crave anything that will go deeper than: Duke/ UNC/ KU/ UK...

Yeah, I couldn't believe Matt and Miller did not talk about the game last night. This is a college market more than anything, certainly more so than baseball. Especially this time of year. Oh well, I'm sure there will be plenty of basketball talk tomorrow with the Blue Jays coming in so hopefully we will get our fix.

I, too, was dissappointed that there was not a lot of basketball talk today.
My guess is that they WILL talk about the game tomorrow when Chris is scheduled to be on the show.
Seems that with the guests they had scheduled today, and with the ump's show, Matt and Ken went out of their way not to broach the subject.

They did not want to hurt the feelings of Des Moines Bulldog supporters?

Re: Fred on very soon with Perrault

So those who still listen to m&M, they didn't talk about the biggest BB game in the state lastnight, in state rivals, one team was a MV school and they call themselves a local sports show? Wow, that must of been an oversight LOL...LOL... Must be why one of them went from a larger market to a smaller market. I bet if ISU had lost theat would of been their lead in.

We just had bigger topics for the Des Moines audience...there not JUST cyclone fans listening. We have Crist, Sip, and Mitch today ... Chris is on tomorrow and we'll talk a lot of basketball. Ken isn't a huge basketball guy ... he prefers football so that's how we do the show right now until after Christmas ... my fill-in stuff in KC is my own - I book the guests - not the case in DSM as I joined the show and just added some of my own guys (Mike Florio, Lee Sterling etc)

Too funny. Bigger topics in Des Moines. Des Moines???

For a guy who says he loves competition and thrives on being competitive, blah, blah, I like to win crap blah. Move to NY or LA and get in the real media markets. Ah, but you can't, because you suck. HA.

Re: Fred on very soon with Perrault

Transcript in case you missed it:

Matt: he he he...so Fred you are a coach of he he he...Iowa State...he he he.
    Fred: Yes I am.
Matt: he he he...you haven't had a great turnout yet. Does that make you question your decision to come here? he he he
Fred: No, I love Iowa State. Hilton Magic will be back sooner than you think. We are concentrating on the team right now and getting better...
Matt: (interrupting)...he he he ... so what do you think of Creighton?
Fred: They are a good team. Fundamentally sound.
Matt: he he he... Greg McDermott is awesome. Wasn't it he he he...Iowa State...he he he that was the problem?
Fred: I wouldn't say that. It just didn't work out.
    Matt: he he he
    Fred: okay...
Matt: he he he I love the patriots.
    Fred: Was that a question?
Matt: he he he...so what do you think of the Big ten this year?
Fred: They are good. But we play in the Big 12.
Matt: he he he...sorry. Creighton should be towards the top huh.
Fred: They could, in the Missouri Valley. Again we play in the Big 12.
Matt: he he he...what do you think of Creighton?
Fred: Again they are a good team.
    Matt: he he he...
    Fred: Are we done now?
    Matt: he he he...
    Fred: Don't call me again.

You opened the show with 15 minutes about the AL Cy Young. Then defend not talking about the game citing the Des Moines market doesn't want to talk about ISU and Drake?? Really? That's the tractor story?
