Keep digging your hole Matt. It is getting deeper every time you post.
Prediction: two pages of you guys whining about Matt. He will chime in to get you going again. Two more pages. Matt replies. Repeat cycle. Then Matt will brag on his twelve radio shows how sensitive you guys are about the Cyclones and how provoking he must be. He gets a raise and gets offer from Marty's old market in New England. End result, all are happy that he takes a bigger market gig(gle).
All said I enjoy all the drama.
You spent significant time on Wednesday's show talking about how it was going to be a close game and how much you liked Drake.
And you can't be bothered to talk at all about the game today? That's pretty crappy and you can't honestly tell me you wouldn't have talked about the game had Drake won by one? Of course you would have....you would have spent a ton of time blasting Iowa State.
I listened to your interview with Hoiberg on the KC station. It was good. But good grief, Iowa STate is an interesting story right now. No one is saying they will be good, but I think it is a story that they are playing well, relaxed, and are having fun. I'm not asking for 30 minutes of Iowa State talk. I'm asking for maybe 10 minutes. Is it that hard for you to admit on your DM radio station that Iowa State played a good game or that Hoiberg mgiht not be the disaster that you predicted?
I also think your little pot shots about how players aren't interested in playing some styles of basketball is basically saying that Iowa State players are too stupid to want to play 'smart' basketball. You should think about exactly what that means when you say that. I, personally, would be very uncomfortable having that type of statement made by myself because it would say a lot about me.
God you guys stop listening to the guy! Don't support his advertisers! Don't stream 1460!
Seriously, he posts on here, stirs the pot, and then hears ISU fans reaction to his show. He then realizes more than half the people that listen to his show hate him, like a mini Rush Limbaugh.
As much as it pains me to say it, switch over to Marty on 1700 for ****** Sake.
I personally don't hold grudges against sports radio hosts whose job it is to stir the pot. I'll listen to 1460 and if I don't like what they're talking about or their tone toward ISU, I'll turn the channel. That said, I tuned in today to hear a little about Wednesday's game...you know, the biggest sports story in the state yesterday?? And they lead off with the Cy Young and go right into NFL and Wrigley Field. Pretty sad that a game between two D1 teams both in the listening area is not worth a mention. Do you think that an Omaha station would fail to mention a game between Nebraska and Creighton? Do you think that a KC station wouldn't talk about a game between KU and UMKC? Pathetic.
stop listening to bad radio
So you are trying to tell us that there is more interest in Fred Hoiberg in Kansas City than Des Moines?
Kansas City, where Iowa State (hardly) competes with KU, KSU, and Mizzou for press time, and is 4 hours from Ames, not to mention an NFL team in the middle of it's season.
Versus Des Moines, the largest city in Iowa, half an hours drive from Ames, where one of the teams involved in the game is FROM, who have no professional franchises, and fewer major schools competing for time (2 FB, 4BB vs. 6 each in KC).
The reason we all mock you is because your logic totally sucks, Matt.
