I didn't boo him, but I don't have a problem with the folks that did. It makes sense as a reaction to something that we're pretty passionate about (MBB).
But I was definitely up there yelling "T him up" while he acted up in the finishing stages of the game.
He didnt get booed too bad, but one fan in the section by the floor really got up in his grill when he came out after halftime. Personally I think we should have done what we do when we announce the other teams starters. CLAP-CLAP-CLAP You SUCK!
The manner in which Coach McDermott conducted himself following today’s game was amazing. He showed a great deal of class during the post game press conference. It was also very touching to see the hugs and interaction after the game between him and the former Cyclone players he coached. Coach McDermott has a great deal of class, honor, and intergrity and I personally wish him nothing but the best!

Coach Mac seems like a different guy now that he has left Ames. Watching him coach today and his post game presser he seems to fit in now. Looking back it seems he just want never comfortable in Ames and always trying to prove himself. Now he seems more relaxed and like he knows what he is getting into. Both sides are better for the change and I wish him luck in the future.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
I didn't get to go to the game today, but I listened to it on 100.3 on my way to my sis-in-law's in Huxley. When we went into halftime only down by 6, I remember thinking "Hey, everything's going to be OK! McDermott teams ALWAYS collapse in the second half!"
And as far as booing goes - I didn't like the guy, but I doubt that I could work up enough concern about him to boo. Hell, if I ran into Greg McDermott on fire in the middle of the street, I would like to think that I'd be a big enough man to pee on him to help put out the fire.
.......on the other hand, I wonder if I'd be tempted to pee on his leg if I ever found myself standing at a urinal next to him?
The program was not in shambles when he got here....We were 1 year removed from an NCAA tournament.....I wouldn't necessarily call it shambles....
In my opinion and for my expectations it was in shambles ever since we choked against Baylor in the Big 12 tourney. Vastly underachieving and then making the tourney just barely are not the signs of a good program.
I was leary of the Mac hire when he came to ISU and not surprised with results. I was hoping for the best and understand why Pollard made the hire. I thought Mac was extremely classy after game today. With that being said I do think a llittle less of Mac than when he was hired at ISU. I did not like how things transpired with Doug though I understand the situation.

My thoughts as well. Time to move on for some of you. Hoiberg is the coach now
I agree with you. He just wasnt the right fit to coach BIG 12 basketball. He did everything he can for us, but just didnt work out. Sometime things just don't work out (like marriage).
