    Guard Play

The guard play thus far from Iowa State has been great. Grant it we've only played 4 games, but how can you not see what having a kid like Jake on the team adds? Diante is stepping up his play too and is producing like never before. I've always been a believer that in college basketball, usually the team with better guards will win. I think back to the great teams we've had at Iowa State and it all started with them. I'm enjoying watching this team and their heart and hustle. Keep it going guys.

Granted is what you were looking for. Sorry, English teacher here.

But yeah, I agree our guards have looked great.

Jake Anderson is a man amongst boys. 15 rebounds?!?!?! Diante is playing with loads of confidence. 3 turnovers in a high possession game is outstanding. Scotty has an all-around game that he doesn't get enough credit for. The penetration and passing has been great. I really like the way this team is playing. I'm trying not to get too excited but I think it is safe to say we are better than last season.

I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others.

    Re: Guard Play

Guard play is college basketball. If you have great guard play, you're going to be in a lot of basketball games. If DG, Jake and Scotty can play like this the whole year, we are going to be fine.

Got to love Jake Anderson. He'll only be here a year but he could be a guy we look back on and think that he helped get the Hoiberg era off on a good note.

Yeah, guard play is excellent. Hustle is excellent. Interior defense is going to be the Achilles heel. Little McDermott is a player.
