I agree completely with the bolded part. We don't stand around waiting for CB to get open. We move the ball around so much better than last year that this could be part of the reason it feels more up-tempo than it may actually be. I still stand by thinking that we play much more up-tempo this year than last.
The movement without the ball has been stellar. They have really taken the "motion" in the motion offense to heart.

I said that we are playing faster this year than last year. I also said that looking a possessions doesn't tell the whole story. Anyone who has a pulse knows we didn't play fast year, I don't care what the stats say.
I think the takeaway here is that just because a team plays faster, it doesn't necessarily mean that there are more possessions in a game.
