Re: Next up: Montana State
Did they play at Hawaii? Maybe the travel was the reason they got handled, cause Hawaii is not a good team from what i know. Anyways, we thought Kennesaw would be somewhat tough since they beat Georgia Tech, and then a 40 point victory occurs. So who knows, i'll say Clones by 21 fwiw.

Re: Next up: Montana State
From what I've read on various preseason prediction blogs and articles, Montana State is another favorite to finish near, or at the top of the Big Sky Conference much like Northern AZ, Weber State, Northern Colorado and Portland State. Unlike N. AZ, the Bobcats are a young, but talented team. I like that ISU has a big edge in experience in the guard court, and that should carry the Cyclones to a not too difficult win at Hilton. Even so, the score should be closer than the last game vs. the Owls of Kenny State. ISU 83, Mt State 68.

Bo Barnes with Hawaii was one time prospect prior to GM leaving. This is his stats so far this season. Bo Barnes, Hawaii, NCAA Basketball - CBSSports.com
Seems like someone who would strive in this offense.

Re: Next up: Montana State
It looks like Montana State is another tall team, similar to Kennesaw St.
here's their usual starting lineup:
Rod Singleton, JR 5-10 185 11.6 pts, 4.4 asts, 2.6 TOs
Erik Rush, JR 6-5 210 16pts, 4.6 rbs, 5 asts
Danny Piepoli, JR 6-6 210 9.2pts
Bobby Howard, JR 6-7 225 18pts, 8.2 rbs, 41% 3pters
Cody Anderson, SO 6-10 270 1.7pts, 3 rbs, 15 mins
the guys that play decent minutes off the bench are pretty much all freshmen and all between 6-5 and 6-7.

Re: Next up: Montana State
ISU should not struggle significantly against this team.
Interesting thing — Montana State beat San Francisco, which beat Colorado.
Big 12 is really turning out to be weak in the lower half (Tech, OU, CU).
And Nebraska, I suppose. But everyone knew that.
At this point, I might be mildly sheppish if ISU doesn't finish 9th or higher.

And yes, I will be in Ames Saturday for a full day. Just need to decide where to eat in between MBB and VB.

We're wrestling with that ourselves.
