Yup, same timeout. That was great to see!
We have a team that thinks it's a team.
"On topic," Royce White is a large part of that. None of that happens if guys are holding out on it.

There is a lot to be said about that. We've got a whole group of guys that are biding their time, not just one or two isolated cases. And based on how the eligible guys are playing I think we have a pretty solid locker room. We'll see how we deal with conference play when we aren't winning every game, but I think we have the right environment for guys who have to sit out a year.
I really do hope the scout team realizes how much they are contributing to the starters this year! There's more to this team than the guys we see on the court every game day!
Here's the press release from Iowa State.
AMES, Iowa- Iowa State men's basketball player Royce White has been denied an appeal to compete in 2010-11 by the NCAA, the Iowa State Athletics Department announced today.
White, a 6-8 forward from Minneapolis, Minn., is ineligible under NCAA transfer rules and this ruling means he will sit out the 2010-11 season. White enrolled at the University of Minnesota for his freshman campaign in 2009-10. He announced his decision to transfer to Iowa State on July 12. He will be a redshirt sophomore for the Cyclones in 2011-12.
"We had a long talk with Royce and he is disappointed,” Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg said. “He is fully on-board on being a Cyclone. He’s excited about how the team is playing and he is going to continue to take pride in his role as a member of our scout team.”
“I am disappointed with the decision,” White said. “I am extremely happy with my decision to be a member of the Iowa State basketball team. It’s my goal now to help this team any way I can during this season and prepare myself to be contributor on next year’s team.”
White was ranked as the 19th-best player nationally by Rivals.com and Scout.com ranked him as the 10th-best power forward in the country in the class of 2009. He was named Minnesota's Mr. Basketball in 2009 after leading Hopkins High School to an undefeated 31-0 mark and Class 4A State Championship. White was one of 20 preps selected to play in the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic in 2009.
