Cal would be a great win but at home I feel like we can compete with about anyone even in down years.
I will reserve judgment on this group for the Big 12 season. Conference teams are not going to let us run up and down the floor like maniacs so we have to see how we react to that. Plus our front line and depth is a big problem and conference teams will exploit that more.
At worst we should have 3 losses going into conference play. And it isn't crazy to think we could be undefeated, but still, that wouldn't tell me that much.
All that said, I like the schedule, we don't need to playing murders row in the pre-conference schedule. We get plenty SOS points in conference. As Johnny Orr said. "We are ganna go get some dogs and bring em in here and drill em! We are ganna play some teams you never heard of man!" And I think that is a good philosophy right for right now.
