undefeated
So, now that we are 5-0, what are your expectations about 2010-11 season wins down the road ?

Re: undefeated
12-3 non conference
6-10 conference
1-1 B12 Tournament
19-14 overall and shot at the NIT

19-14 overall and shot at the NIT This is what was thinking as well. If we keep playing at a high level, we might be able to bump 1 more non conference into the W column and 1 mjore conference game, but that would probably be the most optimistic I could go...so far...
Yep, this thread has just been pwned. -

It might seem like I should bump it up more than that, but a few details:
1. The only certainty that differs from my initial guess so far is beating Creighton (which I had as a loss — oh I loved being wrong about that). I'm still playing it safe at 11-4 in non-conference, even though I think every single team is beatable. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised.
2. My original was somewhat more optimistic as far as Big 12, at 5-11 (I saw plenty of 3-13 predictions, which were certainly in line with our uncertainties about FH Year 1). Until we see a few more games against higher competition, it's hard for me to elevate it much. My five wins were TT, NU, OU, Baylor & Colorado. A win at NU (and probably at CU) looks within reason. But again, I'll play it safe.
Before the season started, I could see 18-13 at the top end. That looks much more within reach than I thought. Knock on wood.

Re: undefeated
I like looking at Ken Pomeroy's site and can't argue with his numbers, around 18 wins & 6 in conference. Our FT stats are not good. Those need to improve or it doesn't bode well for close games. 2011 scouting report for Iowa St.

Re: undefeated
depends on how far into the season the injuries start, or the fatigue sets in
