Do you have an updated projection of total wins?

I think we could be anywhere from 13-0 to start the season or 10-3. 13-0 is totally not out the question. Also 16-0 is not totally out the of the question if we can get by Virginia. Then we run into KU at KU. We will probably be around 14-2 when we head to lawrence.

Our first game againt KU is in Ames.

15-0 in non-conference is certainly possible. That says a lot about how weak our schedule is more than anything else. I'm sticking with 13-2 though, splitting the four "real" opponents that we have left.

But excuse me while I dream a bit. Can you even imagine what Hilton would be like if we go into the KU game 16-0?

I don't think I could see us losing that game in that situation.

I also don't see how Iowa is a trap game when they have nothing to look forward to after it.

Hoenstly if we start 15-0. We have a great chance of getting 20 wins this year. That would get us in the tourney. One game at a time fellas.

No it wouldn't. Winning 20 games doesn't guarantee you make the tournament like it once did. A 5-11 Big XII record won't even get us close to making it.

20 wins isn't a magic number anymore for the NCAA Tourney. I'm just hoping for NIT.

In fact, it would look really terrible after a 15-0 start. The "how you're playing at the end of the year" thing would kill us in the committee's evaluation.

At that point, we'd have to win the Big 12 tournament (or finish second, maybe) to get in the NCAAs.

On another hand, if we actually won 15 in the non-conference, then my over on the CyBookie would pay out

Well 20 wins would mean its possible for us to get in. We would 100% be in a post season with 20 wins. Probably would make the NIT with 17 or 18 wins.

Anybody who thinks this team is going to go 15-0 OOC is absolutely insane. I don't know if ISU has EVER won that many consecutive games. The 1999-2000 team, ya know, the one with Fizer & Tinsley, yeah, they won 13 straight. 15? Damn near impossible.

It is also possible for an 18 win team to get in the tournament. Just ask the members of the 2004-2005 Iowa State Cyclones.

Don't really understand why you are are stuck on the number 20.
