Ha, Scotty went 7-12 from 3 and his 3PT% is going to go down. Just goes to show you how good he's been all year long.
Iowa should be proud of its 3 point defense for shutting him down to just 7-12.
In all seriousness, they are clearly headed in the right direction as is ISU. But there really was no other direction to go... for either team when you consider the talent ISU had last year and still struggled.
ISU is going to start running away with this matchup. We have a very mediocre team on the floor, and were still able to pick up a road win where we haven't won since 2002. We have a huge increase in talent coming next year. So, you are correct, it will be fun to watch in the coming years...for ISU fans.
You have a very mediocre team on the floor and Iowa had a **** poor team on the floor. The problem is this talent you talk about for next year won't be around for four years but only 1 or 2.
The refs were very fair to both teams. If they favored anyone they favored ISU in a very slim margin. JVB should have had a technical for throwing the basketball after a foul was called on him. Also, the no call on the obvious charge also fell ISU way. On the other hand you have an Iowa guy going over the back a few times and they called a foul on ISU. Very evenly reffed.
I think the reason why the charge wasn't called was because McCabe was already falling back when contact was made...in other words he mis-timed his flop.
All in all good game out of both schools...I dont' want Iowa to be better than ISU but I want them to be good enough for a win over them to mean something.

Dumbest post of the night. So Hoiberg can bring in all that talent in year one... not even a full off season of recruiting, when ISU has sucked under Greg McD, but he's not going to be able to keep bringing it in? Can you say FANTASY LAND.
Iowa looks like they're improving. Focus on that instead of spewing irrational garbage.
Savor this loss tonight, it will be ISU's least talented team for quite a while.
It will be when you have to rebuild again in 2 or 3 years.
So are you assuming ISU just won't recruit any more talented players if they have two or three successful years? Usually winning leads to better players being interested in the program.
