I understand and agree with what you've said but what happens when our guards need a breather late in January and DP is the only option to spell them. Instead of working out the kinks now, he'll have to learn on the fly against good teams.

Give the kids a break. They just came off an emotional road victory versus a rival 1.5 days before and they have finals starting on Monday. They still pulled off a double-digit victory.
JVB looked a lot better, though still got into foul trouble. We only had 8 TO's in the whole game (TS had 14). And not that it makes much of a difference, but the ESPN boxscore has both teams with 38 rebounds a piece (ISU had 2 more OREB's).
Obviously, that kind of game could end up in a blow-out in B12 play, but that's why we have these tune-ups now.
cloned4life,
The basketball game yesterday was the worst basketball game I have seen in a while. It was awful to watch. We played horribly. Which is to be expected. But it was BY FAR the worst game we played this year. There is not even a close 2nd.
We may have played bad against UNI but that is b/c UNI forced us to look bad. We looked bad yesterday b/c WE made ourselves look bad. That is the difference
Define........"in a while"? Maybe you weren't blessed to see us a couple of seasons ago about this time of year rip powerhouse Jacksonville State by 6.........only to lose three days later to South Dakota State. And who can forget those games soon to be on ESPN classics against Colorado and Nebraska last year? And these were done with a veteran head coach.....and future NBA talent. Oh yes.........it can get worse!
