Floyd vs Eustachy in 2010
I know I'm a little slow here, but I just realized that Tim Floyd and Larry Eustachy will be coaching against each other this year in Conference USA. Interesting tidbits at this early point of the season: Larry Eustachy @ Southern Miss - Ranked 1st in rebounds per game: 47.4
- Ranked 8th in points per game: 84.1
- Two-point win at California today
Tim Floyd @ UTEP - Win over Michigan at neutral location
Will be interesting to see how their games against each other go this season.

Will be interesting to see how their games against each other go this season. Southern Miss has been steadily improving each year under LE. It hasn't been overnight, but they've gone from horrible to pretty solid. The guy has won at every stop, I think he may get a CUSA title too eventually.

I think it'd be great to see Southern Miss and UTEP helmed by these former ISU coaches in the mix with Memphis for CUSA titles.

Southern Miss winning at Cal is huge for them.
Congrats Larry, keep up the hard work.
would love to see ISU schedule Southern Miss and UTEP in the near future.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

It would have to be at Hilton, though. Shouldn't be any problem...we're the best program of the 4, as hilarious as that sounds.
My first ISU basketball game - Fred Hoiberg was on the court.
My first ISU football game - Paul Rhoads was on the sidelines.
But they hadn't yet reached their full potential.
SO PROUD that things have come full circle. #cyclONEnation -

I loved Floyd when he was here at ISU. The best coach / recruiter combo we've had.
From what I've heard outta So Miss, LE has pretty much under-whelmed; in six years, he hasn't ever had a post-season appearance, not even the NIT, or whatever they call the Loser Tourney. Now in his 7th year, it looks like he might do something; he better because he loses a lot of players.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it). -

May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.) -

We can wait a few years until Lutz has completed the mind-meld with Fred and goes back out into the head coaching circuit, then add his and Wayne's teams for a six team tournament of some kind.
Bring in a couple of patsies like Marathon Oil and EA Sports All Stars to make it a nice even 8 teams.
