First of all. Scott and Chris won't be playing pg. So yeah he is better than them at the pg position. And none of us have seen Tyrus McGee and he still has to learn the offense. As far as Chris Allen he will be sg. He is a scorer.

Your point was people can't see past the Walk-On title and realize he could be a good player for us it wasn't about who else was going to play. I know we don't have any other options right now but unless he drastically improves he will not be an adequate rotation player for us in Big 12 play.
We would all love to have a 6'5" backup point guard who is fast, long, and can shut down the opposing team's All-American point guard, but the backup point guard rarely has that ability. He may not be what we want defensively because of his size, but he is a good point guard who haters (yes like you) refuse to see or acknowledge. I'm fully aware of his defensive short comings against a great Big XII point guard, but he runs our offense well which is his job, and I recognize that and am fine with that.
I think DP may become the elusive "extra scholarship" player if he doesn't improve.
Bubu is turning out to be a great walk-on. It is a bit sad that we don't have any empty scholarships for him to even work his way into one.
Injured 2 months doesn't matter he was still participating during practice by watching and if he still didn't understand he should have been studying the playbook. Like i said before have you even seen TMcGee play? His stats were good yeah but he had no good offers.
We as Cyclone fans have a tendency to overrate our own players and this is one of the worst cases of that I've seen.
I'm far from a hater. I definitely admire what a walk-on has to do but I can promise you he will not be starting next year and we shouldn't base what we think of him on games against Dartmouth.
Hopefully he proves me wrong and becomes a major contributor for the program.
He'll be able to hold his own defensively against some of the Big 12 PG's but offensively will really struggle. It will be very hard to score if we have to play Bubu and CG or JR at the same time.
I've had the same injury as DP. I've had to sit out during practices and watching is nowhere near the same as playing. From what I've seen of Demarcus his problem is just timing right now which is understandable, I will watch next time and see if he knows the plays.
Bubu had no offers.
I've never seen McGee play but the staff has and thats all I need to know. He'll be the starter next year.
Bubu next season will only see the floor in mop up duty. He is only playing this season because of the lack of depth. He is a mid-major player at best. He has very little room to improve. I have been impressed by him, but that is only because I didn't think he was even a mid major player. He gives the team great hustle, but after this season he will only play when this team is blowing other teams out.
