Re: Flag Guy's Run
Though a bit slow, I thought it was to avoid the mad dash 2/3 of Hilton made to leave

Re: Flag Guy's Run
I can't believe you aren't getting called out for waving the flag through the second playing of the fight song instead of taking off for your run. I thought you were just going to wave that thing the whole time.
I always ran on the second play, not sing

Re: Flag Guy's Run
I'm interested in what the old guy stopped you to talk about on the way back to your seat. He almost looked like he was upest.
It was fun watching you ask Cy for the flag though! At first I thought he was going to say now then for some strange reason it looked like he was going to kiss you on your head. What'd you say??!!

Actually, FG does a much better job looking out for people than the current runners. Not that he's perfect though.

Re: Flag Guy's Run
One of the old guy ushers tried to run after the current guy at one of the first games...

Flag Guy, does blaming your tools make you a tool?

Re: Flag Guy's Run
Love it.
Flag Guy gave me a free ticket to the Nebraska volleyball match last season.

Re: Flag Guy's Run
I thought it was similar to watching that NFL lineman try to score last weekend. We were all rooting for ya, but no one thought you'd make it.
Was any oxygen administered afterwards?

Re: Flag Guy's Run
I'm dating myself, but does anyone else remember the "Cyclone Ranger" from the late 80's? He wore a mask and a cape, and would run at least one full lap of the Hilton balcony during games. I remember him going for a second lap one time, and even though the crowd was cheering him on, he looked like he barely made it to the finish.

1) I thought his effort was good, but like Chicago State, he was about three steps too slow. It looked like he would need an overtime to finish.
2) I saw that he had someone recording the run (but I don't know if that guy's phone could possibly have enough memory). It looked like the video wouldn't be his best side, but I'm not sure that there's a good side to Flag Guy.
3) Good effort in coercing the flag out of Cy. That kind of persistence sets a great example. I was sitting right behind the guy that took the video at the game tonight. I overheard them put together a solid game plan for the recording of the video. Proper preperation prevents **** poor performance. Good job!

Re: Flag Guy's Run
Umm....if you always ran on the second playing you'd realize that the second playing IS the singing one. You ran on the third playing.

Re: Flag Guy's Run
You see, that's the problem: I won't put out for myself until the third date, at the earliest.......but I always lose interest when I haven't scored by the second date.
