I think the Big 12 is 7-0 against the Big 10 in bball this year. And all those games were either on the road or on a neutral court. Big 10 is overrated again

Both of you...who cares where they might finish? We all know they are comparable programs. It was AT MSU so it gets a little extra zip. Same with ISU at Iowa.

The Big 10 can't figure out how to beat the Big 12 even with a couple of home games for good measure. O'fer the road, o'fer neutral sites, o'fer home.

Not to mention that next year the Big 12 gets stronger and the Big 10 gets weaker with the change in teams.

ISU was picked LAST in the Big 12 by both the coaches and the writers. How does that feel?

Is this your response? Surly you can comprehend better than this.

There are no indications this year, or in most years, that ISU would not fair better in the Big 10 than in the Big 12.

You are right, ISU only winning by 3 at Iowa is disappointing. Definitely could have, and probably should have, won by more. Good shot by that kid as ISU was walking off the floor though. I am guessing that walk-on makes a lot of those in practice.

My bad. I was going by the poll of experts that follow college basketball on a daily basis. I forgot to check HawkeyeScott's Poll of Basketball Excellence.

    Good luck!
You're right they do have the right to be homers on their own network, and we also have the right to call them on it and discuss their lack of credibility when they make absolutely stupid claims. The Big telven have rarely if ever been the premiere basketball conference in more than a decade. Probably much much longer than that since they've really had much of a logical right to that claim. They've jumped up and grabbed AT the apple a few years here and there but that hasn't even happened in years.

It just sounds stupid. Cheap used car salesman, anyone? I can make stupid claims too, most of the last decade the Big ten has been closer to a mid-major than the premiere basketball conf. But saying it on my own computer doesn't make it make any more sense.

I'm not sold on OSU at all. They have in fact played all the "sister mary of the poor's" they could find this year. I stand by my comments. MSU has Lost to very very good teams and OSU has played nobodys and one game agains Florida. I'm willing to bet that when you see what OSU is really made of we'll see that MSU is better.

Record and ranking mean next to nothing at this point in the year. The very fact that OSU is even in the top 5 is evidence of the hype machine. They haven't enen proved they are a top 20 team. Its a joke that they are ranked above KU.

You're right we don't KNOW who is the best team in any conference, but as of right now, until proven otherwise. I stand by my comments. OSU needs to do something before you'll convince me that the old guard isn't still on duty. OSU hasn't played a true top 20 team, and MSU has only lost to top 15 caliber teams.

If you want to bet that OSU is better lets talk what criteria you would like to bet on.

Just curious, which of Iowa's players would you have starting over ISU's current starters?

And, for the record, it's pretty hard to disprove that the Big Ten is better this year. As of right now, that is clearly not the case.

I don't play that game. Because I like the guys we have because they are Clones. And no matter what I would say its not a good situation. I will say on the whole, that there are some players for the hawks that I covet. At least 3. Don't follow em enough to get deeper than that, but at least 3 returning guys that I'd take in a heartbeat if I could put them in the rotation. And we only have like 4 returning guys on our side.

That's as close as I'll get to that question. But I if you are trying to say that the hawks don't have the talent to run with the cyclones, that also has a lot to do with what the coaches were able to pull together. So far, very happy where we sit and where EVERYTHING is headed.

And I'm not going to argue this too much. I like the guys on Iowa's team, but they are young. The guys ISU has right now, while maybe not returning starters, have something a lot of the Iowa guys don't - college experience.

As I've said after both programs changed coaches, I think both programs are on the up and up, and both fanbases have a lot to be excited about. Iowa's freshman have showed a lot of promise, while ISU has some very solid transfers waiting to see the floor.
