Just looking ahead to Jan. 3 matchup with Northern Illinois. Missouri spanked NIU 97-61 last night. Mike Anderson picked up his 100th win at Mizzou.

I saw this score on the ticker last night and it was like 51-9 or something at one point. Not nearly as close as the final score.

Phil Pressey maybe, but there is NO WAY Matt Pressey would start for us.

He's averaging under 7 pts, 2 boards and 2 assts in only 17 minutes a game.

Mike Anderson reached 100 wins in only 147 games at Misery. According to the Big 12 website that is the fastest of any MU coach. I really don't like having a good coach like that at MU. It was much better with Quinn getting all sorts of press and struggling. Instead they have Anderson who just quietly wins.

The upcoming NIU game may be a litmus test about how competitive ISU can be in the Big 12.

We can't directly compare margin of victory, but I doubt ISU dominates NIU to that extent (wasn't it 62-19 at one point?). If it's less than a 20-point win, the conference schedule could prove more daunting than I thought (and I assumed it was going to be a challenge).

You are relying way too much on the transitive property.

Oh, I definitely take the transitive with a grain of salt. I would use it in this case only because ISU & Missouri play a common opponent within a short period of time.

It's only one game in each case — but if ISU wins by 10 and Missouri wins by 40, I could get a general feeling of relative strength.
