Haven't read thru any of the threads. Just got home after being out and watching the game. I thought the refs were pretty relaxed and let a lot of rough play go by. I can't be the only one that thinks this?
I thought they let them play. It wasn't playing rough, they just didn't call cheap stuff. I like the way the game was called. Remember it was a UVAs crowd too.
So what happens if we were to get into foul trouble and have 3 of our guys foul out? Do we just play with the only 4 we have?
We actually had a couple who didn't play last night (Railey, McKnight) so could bring those in. But if we ever run into a game where we get into serious foul trouble we will have a huge problem. This is nothing new though because we all knew depth was going to be a problem before the season even started. Serious foul trouble hasn't happened yet; its one of the reasons are record is so good. Be thankful for that. It will probably happen somewhere along the way; just hope that it doesn't happen every game. I will say the boys have done an amazing job hustling and scraping (like they did last night) WITHOUT getting anyone in foul trouble. If they can continue to do that, we will do just fine.
I do agree with the posts here. Last night the D was incredible on both sides. People were hustling and being aggressive and the refs let them play. Was nice to see.
