The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

At this rate, I'm not going to be happy until Lamaak is playing Center on the basketball court as well.

In other news, Chris Williams has been confirmed as going back to Iowa State and walking on to the Men's Basketball team.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." |

What about Donnie Jennert? A lengthy 6-7 player that is fast and that has about a 37 inch vertical.

I guess it kind of makes sense that if you have a sudden need to find athletes for the basketball team over Christmas break, the reserves of the football team are probably the best option available. They are on campus, have demonstrated athleticism, a work ethic and ability to be part of the team, and they are probably desperate to see playing time anywhere they can.
Plus you know they're eligible already. No surprises.
