I'm thinking I'll just sit this one out.
Clearly rigged or the system is giving some of Gary's votes to Lester.
Lester was good, but Thompson was pretty impressive in his time as well. He helped ISU beat no. 1 Kansas with Wilt Chamberlain....the only time ISU has ever beaten a top-ranked team. He was also All-American in two sports..basketball and baseball....and took ISU to the College World Series.
It seems the poll is rigged though. I voted for Thompson.....he then had 150 votes. Went back, voted again......and he had 151. Voted again...it went back to 150. Something is messed up.
Haha. Tried it again -- this time refreshing the page as I did it. It went just like Dryburn said. I voted once, it was 177. Voted again, it was 179. Voted again, it was back down to 177.
This is hilarious.
Lester is the best player I've seen play at ISU, UNI, Drake, or Iowa. And it isn't even close. I love Thompson and all he has done for ISU, but realistically Lester should win this. Like Thompson, he sounds like he is a great guy off the court.
Nah, Grayer is the best of all of them, the contest is rigged.
I boycotted it from the get-go. When a poll for the "greatest BB player in the state" doesn't include either Aaron Agnew OR the Lickliter kid, you just know it's going to be irrelevant.
I'd say Fizer is the most dominant player....nobody in the state has ever had a post player that is more physically imposing player...his strength down low, defensively and offensively was unmatched by anyone in the country when he came into his own in 1998....
I emailed Keeler about the irregularities at the end of last week. He just got back to me a few minutes ago and said that he would let the guy (Hawkeye?:twitcy:) who set it up for him on the web know about the concerns.
This pole is a joke... Keeler was the only one I liked at the DSM Register- who's left?
