Is he going to be ready for Nebr

Re: Scotty
He was warming up with the team before NIU, and was in uniform for that game. In his post game, Hoiberg said he sat Scotty to make sure that the elbow didn't become a nagging thing. Every indication is that the NIU sit-out was to let him rest to be ready for Saturday.
So, what I'm saying is, I don't know, but I'm willing to view reality through a filter that lets me believe he will be ready to go.

Re: Scotty
He needs to, otherwise we are going to struggle. He balances our team even when his shots arent there.

Re: Scotty
I bet he plays. Hoiberg is meeting with the media this afternoon. I can't go (advertising stuff) but Ian will be covering it for the site. We'll have a report up lter.

Well said here. IMO Hoiberg felt that the team would be able to win without him against NIU and that he needed to rest it for Nebby and the B12 season.
But I just asked the "Eight Ball" and all signs are pointing to YES for Scott to play Saturday.

Re: Scotty
Is Hoiberg above staging some sort of elaborate ruse to insure that he wins his first Big XII game? Sit one of your top scoring threats in a home game against a god-awful team so you can convince your next opponent his shooting arm is hurt worse than it really is. It would be brilliant.

Sending a message to your team that you need a ruse to beat Nebraska? Fail.

Re: Scotty
I feel like everybody gives Nebraska no credit but reality is we aren't much better over the last 5 years. We do need Scotty to beat them and maybe even with him we lose, this is a conference away game, ISU not historically very good in these situations.
I will bet anyone a crisp hundred that Scotty plays. He wanted to play in the NIU and said he was willing to go in for 10-15 minutes if needed.

If Hayden, Luther and Dober can pull it off in the Pineapple Bowl...
