No. I want stud freshmen.

joseph only has a semester left of eligibility, I believe...not worth it.

Re: Want another Minny transfer?
He's got one year of eligibility left. I don't believe the NCAA works in semesters for eligibility remaining/used, just years. But he would be eligible to compete in 2nd semester of 2011-2012 year. Or he can play one full year, in the 2012-2013 season.
I've seen him play plenty. He can light it up from the outside. Or he can stink. He's an average defender at best. It appears he had coachability issues with Tubby. I don't want him on our team.

Re: Want another Minny transfer?
OSU built a program on transfers and second chances. If a transfer or juco makes sense to the coaching staff then they have my support.

Re: Want another Minny transfer?
We've got enough transfers for now. Iowa State needs to start building a stable of usable players so we aren't faced with having 6 players to open conference play.

So if a guy who avg. 11 ppg for a ranked team comes to ISU to play one season I am okay with that.

1) from everything we've heard, Royce is having no trouble aclimating to Ames.
2) from everything we've heard, it was Royce's friends and situation near his home in Minnisota that were a major factor in his continued issues.
3) we've got a pretty stellar group of recruits coming in next year already, the lion's share of them being guards.
So, yeah, still seeing no reason to go after him hard.

Just to let people know....apparently Chris Allen had coachability issues at MSU...and he has one year left....what standard are we using when evaluating players....

Re: Want another Minny transfer?
1.) Ya he probably isn’t, but I guarantee you he isn’t pumped sitting in Ames, IA every weekend having to watch his team play. Don’t you think he would feel a little bit better if a teammate joined him.
2.) I heard a reason to choose Ames was to be closer to friends and family. Thats why he didn’t go to Kentucky.
3.) Last time I heard we don’t have a true PG for next season.
Also for our recruits I am going to be safe and say Devoe Joesph had a lot better resume coming out of high school than any of our recruits.
Also I am not saying recruit him hard all I am saying if he wants to come then why not give him a chance. I mean we are giving a back-up QB a chance why not him.
