    They aren't giving up

Pretty awesome watching the team so far this year. I've been pretty impressed with the team not giving up when being down especially being short handed (Railey out and DP gone) and Scotty bruised.
There is a night and day difference between the last few years with this one so far when getting down. I used to unfortunately somewhat give up hope during those games and get discourages but these guys are fighting hard.
No one likes to lose but they played hard tonight and we gotta be proud.

I agree. This team has heart. Its fun to watch too! CFH is doing what he promised with the basketball style.

Given the competition hasnt been real tough but I would love to be in the locker room at half. Because the team really responds in the second half! Every game we really light it up coming out of the locker room.

They just need to be as scapy as they can all year. Do that game over with the same amount of heart and the outcome could have flipped. We all knew this year was gonna be a rough one - hang in there clone fans.

    Re: They aren't giving up

I think it was pretty obvious that with all our parts we're quite a bit better than NU. Problem is keeping all of them on the floor. Getting Railey back will help. Fred seemed to faze Bubu out in the second half playing Ejim at the 3. People get worked about who's starting but if Ejim plays half his minutes at the 3, we become a bigger, stronger and better shooting team.

I'm convinced that McDermott had them doing shots of Jaeger in the halftime locker room.

    Re: They aren't giving up

ejim was so gassed at the end of that game. kid gives it his all on every play-loved the hustle towards the end trying to get back to block the shot, as well as trying to get back and draw a charge even if it was called a blocking foul. if railey played, i think for even 5 minutes just to give ejim a rest, it would have been huge. he was guarding tons of fun and holding his own.

bubu didn't play at all the 2nd half, but i don't think he was really needed-dg was fresh, maybe bubu could have spelled jake or scotty for a few minutes. it was our bigs that were worn down at the end, and rightfully so.

love the effort, wish we coulda got an unexpected(at least from me)win.

    +1

And McD is still up to his old tricks:
"Missouri State outscored host Creighton 47-26 in the second half, overcoming a 29-20 halftime deficit, to post a 67-55 win in Omaha before 14,920 fans at Qwest Center Omaha."

13-3 and and all of the 3 were in play in the 39th minute. What more could reasonably be asked for?

Nobody could have asked for this THIS year. We are rooting for more than we've had and enjoying it instead of it being a rebuild year for CFH. For the first time we are actually have a shot at post season and going above .500 (maybe even in B12 play).

Spot on. That was some great effort. I'm so glad he didn't get hurt when he slammed into that post padding.

Bad enough I thought it was one of our mismatch color schemes (band team cheerleaders not matching)

great effort by them! Man Ejim started the season good but godfrey is really coming on to!
