It blows my mind how many of our fans want something for nothing. I can't give enough $ to get into Johnny's and I likely never will. Don't care. This is an awesome addition to Hilton and a great perk for those who support ISU athletics at such a high level. Word......

My point was not that I had to pay to get in, I just wish they would have honored a man who likes to be "with the people" in a way where everyone had access. I think the use of the old basketball office space for donors to hang out is fine -- its just honoring Johnny in the same way he treated everyone.

That sounds amazing. Johnny's is freaking awesome.
This could have made a ton of money as a bar somewhere in Ames open to the public. A Johnny Orr Bar somewhere that looked like that. Well maybe they can branch out once this succeeds.

There really isnt much memorabilia in the actual bar except murals and the court which you can see from the concourse. You will be fine, you will still love ISU, and most likely love ISU because donors have maintained the sports to a level you enjoy.
