Godfrey

Raw is usually just a word used for big guys who lack certain skills but hopefully Godfrey is the exception.
He does play with a lot of energy but it doesn't look as if he'll be able to channel it intelligently for awhile.
I definitely agree that he and Railey will be very serviceable big men off the bench for us over the next few years.

If nothing else, Godfrey and Railey will be VERY good role players in their junior and senior years. I hope this doesn't take anything away from them right now, nor does it mean that they can't be stars....but I think worst case scenario is that they are the Stevie Johnson and Paul Shirley of the team in 2-3 years. They may very well be better than that, but I think that is a very reasonable expectation.

Were the two back to back foul calls against Godfrey that were away from the ball bogus tonight, or legitimate fouls? I didn't see either one, so I was hoping someone caught what was happening. Thanks!

One of the best parts of the game tonight for me was seeing Booker pull Godfrey aside during halftime and talk to him about defense for a few minutes. The transfers are really into the game.

He was being aggressive on the post trying to get position. Quesionable calls but I can live with fols like that

100% agreement here. Basically, his (and Jordan's) problem is being a freshman.

They'll develop in every way, and the sky is the limit. I think that Godfrey's athleticism gives him a really explosive potential when he puts it all together.

I definitely believe that both of them will do it.

I thought they were pretty questionable calls, especially for how physical the twins were

Honestly, with the picky fouls he was getting, I was thinking it would be good to let some poor Jayhawk feel a real foul.

He got an offensive foul right away for posting up one of the Morris boys. I'm yelling this is Big 12 play against a physical team. Then next possession Kansas drives the lane gets a little contact and a foul is called.

Overall the game was very well played and officiated but for some reason the refs had it in for ol Godfrey. He is going to be very solid for us.

Yeah, I love all of our freshman. Great class, with everyone contributing (as they, of course, have to). I expected good things of Ejim, but not as much as he has shown. Had no idea what to expect out of Godfrey and Railey. I'm very pleasantly surprised with all of them.
