I thought the broadcast was great. Hubert Davis did a good job during the game, his analysis was pretty spot-on during the game. He knew Iowa State basketball in detail, including the last several years and what the future holds with America's best scout team. Hubert probably knew more about Iowa State basketball than any color announcer that's called an ISU MBB game on a national broadcast that I can recall.

They gave Hoiberg quite a bit of love too.

I also thought it was nice they commented on Jack Trice and the story behind the man. Was a great job by them to sell a piece of ISU to the national viewers.

Shouldn't be surprised. The halftime highlights showed about 6 plays, all of which were KU scoring.

Maybe when we are ranked they'll show some highlights. Gotta earn it I guess.

The only gripe I had with Hubert Davis was when he was going on and on about how we were out-manned and didn't have the size, talent, depth, etc to compete. On and on and on about how the Morris brothers were owning us. At the same time he's talking we are down by 3 points. That just kinda ****** me off. Can't compete? Right. We were in the game right to the end; a few plays one way or the other and we pull off the upset. Who can't compete?

Other than that, I did think he did a good job so I'm kinda nitpicking.

well, he was right-they were owning us, we were out-manned, and we don't currently have the size. but none of that matters when you play with as much intensity and heart as we have so far this year. the morris twins did own us for i think close to 50 points, so he was right. i don't think i ever heard anyone say we couldn't compete.

i thought it was a great broadcast. the trice piece was cool, johnny, the fred-love, scout team press, what more could you have asked for other than a win by the clones??

That part is 100% true. Marcus was scoring with ease all night.

Overall I thought it was a very good broadcast. The Morris twins were great and deserved some love. I thought maybe toward the end they might have given a very undermanned ISU team credit for hanging tough and playing to the final buzzer but aside from that I was happy with the announcing.
