This was sent to me through e-mail but was originally from a Nebraska fan:
While my family for many years has held Nebraska Men’s BB tickets, I never knew we had good seats, but with younger kids it makes it hard to go to those things as you know. To set the stage, we are five rows up from the floor, so I took my five year old boy to his first college basketball game (NU vs. Iowa State). The point of my note is right after the game, I decided it was better to carry my little guy out of the floor exit rather than let him walk in the crowd. I hit the exit where the ISU players were exiting, and despite feeling down about their loss every Iowa State player gave my son a high-five on the way to their locker room. It did not matter to them that he had a red Husker shirt on. That goes to two things…….well-mannered young men and also a coach that encourages the team to recognize what that simple act means to a young person. My son is still talking about it a week later.
