Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
We should be able to keep it close and have a chance to win at the end. But GIA is a tough place to play, so I'll predict a close loss. That said, their fan support looked way down from what I saw of the KSU game. I wouldn't be surprised at all to win.

I forget: Is Oklahoma part of Tornado Alley?
If so, they might want to watch out!!

Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
Page is still there? seriously.
Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd -
Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
Reason for optimism: Oklahoma State ranks 303rd in assists. They have 50 more turnovers than assists (for reference, we have 60 more assists than turnovers). Scott and JVB have made more 19 more three pointers than their entire team.
I think we've got a great shot if we can make our open shots and get some solid points off turnovers.

Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
Just like every game this team plays we must keep the fouls down and shoot very well to have a chance in conference.
Will be tough. We can do it, but odds are we walk away with a L.

Since bawbie tends to be right on this, I'm going with him. His analysis is really top-notch, at least for message-board country.

Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
Marshall Moses is a beast inside and JVB will have his hands full with him. Also, Matt Pilgrim can find ways to score and crash the offensive glass. Pretty much the same story though. Have to stay out of foul trouble and knock down some outside shots.
That being said, Gallagher-Iba is an extremely tough place to play, but this game is definitely winnable and ISU has an excellent chance to go in there and steal a win.

Re: Up Next: @Oklahoma St. Predictions
I won't venture a guess yet, but I feel as confident about ISU's at Stillwater this time as I have in quite a while. Tricky part: it looks like an even matchup, but how many points does OSU gain from the home-court advantage?
It probably isn't the hardest place to win in the Big 12 , but Gallagher-Iba may have the biggest equalizer effect.
If it's close, I hope we get a lucky bounce to balance the Nebraska heartbreaker.
Keys, as usual: Stay out of foul trouble, hit a lot of 3's.

They have a 6' 8" guy (Darrell Williams) that plays center along with Pilgrim, who is also 6' 8". He's their best rebounder (by rebound percentage) but doesn't score much. JVB will guard those two. (they each play around 20 mins a game)

Physically, I don't know that I'd want Ejim on Moses, and with JVB's height, it could neutralize Moses' muscle.
Obviously, there's going to be plenty of switches and the post match ups will change frequently. I just like Ejim on Pilgrim more as Pilgrim is a better athlete than Moses and will do more away from the basket than Moses will.
Really looking at it, it's a good match up for us. Being an away game, that will factor in, but just man to man, I think it's a very winnable game.

Big 12 is tough on the road, ask Baylor. Don't expect to win, damn glad if we do, need to get one back for that damn Nebraska game.
