Cameras alone won't do it.
HD production trucks (including all the cabling/wiring, monitors, and other ancillary equipment) can run well into 7 figures to build.

No.
The athletics video production crew has its own equipment, which is used at Jack Trice and Hilton. If you let CTN borrow equipment to use at Hilton, then what exactly would they use for the Hilton video board?

They could use the same feed. They could make it work if they really wanted to.

Indeed. Been to arenas where the video feed on the board was the espn feed (or whatever was covering it that day) even had the espn logo in the corner.

Wasn't the ISU vs. Iowa game on CTN last year in HD? How did they do that?

And do you have any idea how much ******** would occur from both Iowa and UNI (and probably Drake) if ISU's basketball games were the only ones appearing on IPTV?
Take some time and familiarize yourself with the story behind the forced sale of WOI by a Hawk-heavy (and Cyclone-empty) board of regents. That's pretty much exactly what would happen in the above scenario, except the regents can't sell IPTV.

By shelling out a significantly higher amount of $$$ than normal. Made that broadcast cost roughly 2x a normal broadcast.

Learfield\CTN brought in a HD truck, iirc.
I thought i remember hearing they were going to be upgrading more of their fleet of trucks to HD, wonder what kind of progress theyve made on that.
