Can we get IPTV to pick up CTN?
I'm watching the ISU / Minn. wrestling meet in what appears to be high def. If we can get this quality of picture for a IPTV broadcast of a wrestling meet, why do we have 1980's quality picture of basketball? Just asking.

Seems like all the Full Court broadcasts are awful. The Creighton game on Comcast SportsNet or whatever it was called was bad today, too.

With the new scoreboard at JTS, the university is going to have to but some HD cameras. Maybe Hilton and CTN will get to use them next year?

Yes we can, if we donate enough money to IPTV, and make it clear to IPTV that we are donating this money to pick up CTN.
If you are asking the question, "Why is CTN coverage antiquated?", the answer again is money. There is a reason why there are only 5 or 6 stations that make up the CTN. Ten years ago, there were many more stations, but as those local stations were unable to get sponsors (or advertisters) to pony up money, that number of stations shrank. KIMT in Mason City used to carry some CTN games, and some UI games. When the local money to help carry those broadcasts disappeared, so did the coverage.

Charities almost always have better "stuff" than comparable private businesses. They don't have to pay taxes.

They use those HD cameras for a multitude of other events, too.
