KenPom rankings
Currently predicting we finish 8-8 in conference, giving us 54% chance of a win over Okie St. 2011 Big 12 Conference Basketball Standings
Most interesting to me is the prediction for KSU to finish 6-10 in conference.
Thoughts?

Re: KenPom rankings
I think 8 wins is a decent number to be given but its a little optimistic. Being realistic they will probably get 5 or 6 and that would be awesome and help them out on making some type of postseason.
Now K-State on the other hand shot shot them self in the foot with being so overrated then loosing kelly and pullen for a couple games. They just don't have a leader right now and it doesn't seem like anyone is going to stand up and be that go to person.
How about kenpom giving the big ten the top rated conference in the country?
It is sort of a true statement but the Mich St is really hurting them and some of the teams that are ranked in the bottom half of the top 25 are playing poorly as of late. I don't see the Big Ten getting more than 6 going into the tourny in March

Re: KenPom rankings
the rating seems about right so far. Hard to believe CO will continue to play so well and end up 4th.

Re: KenPom rankings
Would be absolutely hilarious if we finish ahead of KSU in the standings.

Re: KenPom rankings
Colorado still has to play KU twice, @ Mizzou, @ ISU, Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor
Thats' 7 more potential losses.

His schedule shows us going 10-6 with a 23-9 record, but says we're predicted to go 8-8.

Either way they are much better than any of us realistically could have expected going into this season. -

I don't see the Big Ten getting more than 6 going into the tourny in March I don't know. Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Purdue are easily tournament teams. Minnesota probably is. Thats 6 pretty much close to locks. Northwestern is definately a bubble team and if Penn State keeps playing well, they may be on the bubble as well.

Re: KenPom rankings
I don't think that ISU will loose another home game the way they are playing so at worst that would put ISU at 7-9 in conference. If they could pull one out on the road bumbs them to 8-8 which is very reasonable.

I don't see the Big Ten getting more than 6 going into the tourny in March It's because all 11 teams are in his top 78, the worst being Iowa.
The Big XII has Tech and OU around 140 weighing it down.
What jumped out at me from the kenpom conf standing for the big 10 is how much all of the teams in the league slow the game down. There is only one team in the big 10 in the top 150 in kenpom's adj tempo stat, and that's Iowa at 119. 2011 Big Ten Conference Basketball Standings -
