OSU favored by 2.5 tonight

Just saw that Vegas has OSU as a 2.5 point favorite tonight.

That's a little weird, as all the offshore books have OSU as 4.5 point favorites. That's a pretty big difference.

2.5 is the LVSC line. That's the one I always go with.

1. Looks like they heard Scotty's elbow is feeling better today.
2. KenPom has us winning by one.
3. Nebraska wiped Colorado last night.
4. Kansas looked very good.
5. Godfrey is rolling in last two games.
6. DG has the bugs out of his system.
7. JVB said what a good time he has playing for a great coach.
8.Fat Lady has not sang yet.

I wasn't saying I doubted you, just that you don't normally see that big of a difference between sportsbooks.

LVSC has 2.5 as the opening line and the fact that it has been beaten down to 4.5 isn't a good sign as it usually means a "sharp" has wagered a lot on OSU to cover the 2.5.

When I was posting the line, I saw one site had it at -6. So it is moving towards ISU now.

OSU -6 seems like a ton. I would need to know DG isn't playing to consider being on the OSU side of that. -4.5 is basically saying the two teams are even and we are giving OSU the full home-court points. That seems about right.

Kinda shocking how much line movement there has been on this game so far. I "pay a lot of attention" to NCAA BBall lines and they usually don't move like this. Vegas doesn't like opening itself up to people getting the middle opportunities. For example, if you bet on OSU -2.5 and ISU +6 you would risk $1 (the vig of one bet) to win $20 if OSU wins by 3-5. Pretty good odds there.

I know that we have only had a handful of road games this year, but I think we have played well on the road. I'll be very interested to see how the rest of the year goes in regards to road games because we play in some tough places against good teams.
