Re: Stay Positive!
I'm still excited for the future, but the last three loses have been brutal. A week ago I was thinking "We're 1-3, but we were this close to starting 5-2 in conference. Sucks, but we'll win some more and everything will be ok." Now I'm just hoping we don't end up 1-15.

Wining is not easy Fanatics, It takes Hard Work, Dedication, Talent and some Luck!
As Fans we need to have some patience, nobody, I repeat nobody wanted to WIN more than the Student Athletes wearing the Cardinal and Gold tonight and their Coaches....

I really feel for these guys, because you know they are putting it all out there, but I hope they get some bounces their way.

Re: Stay Positive!
There wasn't anything positive tonight. This team earned a meltdown tonight.
That was just a poor, poor effort. We should not lose to Texas Tech. Not this year's Red Raiders.

Re: Stay Positive!
If you listened to the postgame locker room show, you learned everything you need to know from Coach Hoiberg about the kind of effort our team gave tonite. Not good at all. Its OK to criticize an effort from an individual game but still be positive about the direction of the program.

I looked at the Big 12 schedule this week, and if ISU could go 2-0, and most of the rest of the games went close to expected, ISU would still be only one game above a 3-way tie for last — but also would be tied with 3 other teams at a half-game out of fourth.
Progress is measured in small steps. I won't bash this team, but the record simply doesn't reflect its transitional positives. Those little details add up.

We are merely reaping what MacDumass sowed. We don't have the horses yet.

Re: Stay Positive!
I'm more disappointed in our dopey fans calling players out after losses than how the team is playing.

Did we make a mistake by staying in the Big 12?

Re: Stay Positive!
The effort on the defensive end, as a team, was atrocious yesterday. Very, very frustrating game to watch and IMO I am pretty disappointed in the team after the last few games. Doesn't mean I'm not excited about the future. I'm just disappointed because for all the limitations this team has, there is no way it should be 1-5 and dead last in the Big 12.

We shouldn't be dead last, but here we are.
We still have a chance to turn it around for this year, but that chance is getting more and more difficult to make happen. The guys have to understand that and actually play some defense.
Even a mild defensive effort wins last night. Even a mild, less pathetic one.

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

How do you let one of the worst teams in major conference b-ball come into your gym and knock down 55% of their shots, 58% from 3-point land? We gave up 55 points in the second half! Horrible.

At the same time, we did grind out 83 points, so we at least found some ways to score (and showed Fred's impact at the FT line). At the same time, we shouldn't need to make 35 FTs to win, and that's what it would have taken last night. Shouldn't have to foul out their entire starting lineup to win, that sort of thing.
The offense was rough, but still produced a ton of points. I put most (emphasize most) of last night's problem on extremely poor defense. It's like we've never seen motion and passing before.
We've seen that this team can play defense against major conference schools, so it wasn't that we can't do it. We just didn't, and that's really upsetting.
