Christopherson should be the 6th man...

Christopherson should be the 6th man... Scotty's a very good player and he's invaluable to this team but I think our team would be better served if he came off the bench. I think with the solid play of Godfrey, he could hold down the 4 and move Ejim to the 3.

Mel's playing out of position at the 4 and would be more effective scoring and rebounding moving down hill from the perimeter. I still think Scotty should play between 15 and 25 minutes.

    Go State and Go Freddy!

Last I checked, Scotty is our best shooter and teams have to gameplan for him. Maybe this will be an option next year, but no way will this happen this season.

Considering the 8th man is a walk on, there's really no point in putting things under a microscope. ISU has seven scholarship players. Next great mystery, please, cause this one is solved.

I wouldn't mind seeing ejim moved to the 3 and godfrey the 4 either. why not give it a go.

last night tech benched a starter and solid player just to create matchup problems and look what it did for them.

I disagree. I believe it improves our interior defense and rebounding. Since Garrett is shooting the ball so well and we have a 5 that can shoot like larry bird, it could work. I believe scotty then could share minutes with both Ejim and Anderson.

It would be a great sign if Scotty is coming off the bench next year...it would mean we have very good talent ahead of him.

So basically today we have someone benching Ejim for the OU game. Scotty coming off the bench. Anyone else that should not be starting. We could just run 3 guys out there and try it that way. It would be a little uneven though since we are playing against 5 guys.

I agree. Ejim needs to move to the three. He's not big enough to defend the post and every game were getting toasted at the 4 spot by the opposing team. If you want to predict a 30 pt scorer just pick the opposing teams power foward and I'm sure they'll have a game that ends up on their highlight reel. Substitutions would be much better too. Railey does not look bad at all while in and would be a good substitute for CG and JVB. SC could substitute for DA and ME. BP would give DG a rest when needed. Our guards aren't going to make it through the season with the minutes they're logging. Can't wait to see how they look if we win a game at the Big 12 Tournament and have to play those minutes two days in a row.

I love Scotty but he hasn't been the same since he injured his arm. I don't know if it's physical, psychological, or both, but it's probably worth experimenting with a bigger lineup including Godfrey, at least until Scotty gets his stroke back.

I'd rather have Ejim as the sixth man right now. He has hit the freshman wall its obvious.

Re: Christopherson should be the 6th man...

I believe that Scotty could still have 15 to 20 pt nights coming off the bench. By playing Calvin at the 4 will make him our primary screener freeing up both Melvin and Jamie to move more freely giving Garrett more options to feed the ball. I believe that Mel can hit a couple threes now and then. Also, we could have two high/low options...

Watching Ejim, he was not playing "very high" under the bucket. Looks like we need Railey or Godfrey fighting off the other team. Pretty much the inside teams are killing us. CFH needs to change something. The Morris boys, the KSUites, Colorado, will have heyday if we do not lock up the middle on defense.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

It's really not that obvious though. Any freshman would struggle playing out of position against Big XII competition.
