Tyrus McGee scored 30 in win Saturday night

I just had a nice chat with future Cyclone MBB player Tyrus McGee. He scored 30 points last night in a win over Highland C.C. I'll have a full update on McGee for you all tomorrow. Thought I would pass this news along now.

These are his stat averages before Saturday night's game. Team is 17-5.

20.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.3 steals

87 % FT shooter, 49 % 3-point shooter

Do you know what his A/TO ratio is? That's probably my one concern about the PG position next year, they have to take care of the ball.

My one and only concern is that we need a ball control/passing oriented PG for next year and he seems to be more of a scorer. I am confident he will work in our system though. We will have a lot of scoring talent though next year.

I've read scouting reports that say he's more of a scoring 2 guard and doesn't play like a point guard at all. Obviously you are hearing different?

Which is good, I hope you are. Just curious because it conflicts with what I've heard.

My hope is that he can play some PG because we need somebody to step up and play it...
