Time to shine

With all the bad news today some players really have a chance to step up. With CG out and JV sick JR, ME, and possibly EM have a chance to show CFH what they are made up. ME has the chance to show that he should be the starter, and that he is capable of becoming a player that brings a lot of energy to the team. JR has just been given a chance to shine, after getting limited minutes the whole season. If JR plays well getting rebounds, points, and blocks he might be able to play before CG when he gets back. I hope JR plays great because he will be able to help the team out a lot for the remaining season and the nest few years. Last but not least EM could have a chance to play with JV being sick and only having 2 post with significant playing time this year. I feel if JR struggles EM number will be called on. He has a chance to show CFH that he can play in the Big 12, and I think he will play his heart out to try to get more minutes. These next few games will tell us a lot about our young player that we will have for the next few years.

The fact that said players weren't playing when we've been struggling tells me all I need to know.

Time for Air Mitchell to take over, I'm predicting a 20/10 for him against CU.

I think Railey could contribute to some big man stats if he ever sees meaningful minutes. His size alone is something we need more of at times and he seems to crash the boards better than JVB does. Probably still in Fred's doghouse some from the accident I bet. I don't expect much out of McKnight, he's rail thin and hasn't shown much even in the garbage minutes he's got. Too bad he couldn't have redshirted this year to put some much needed bulk on his frame.

I hope we get out of Boulder safe and injury free. That's about all I want to see from that game. They gotta be licking their chops to play us right now. Unless we get off to a great start I see that one getting ugly.

I still think these guys will win a couple more games this season. Too many winnable games left not to grab a couple. Nebby, CU at home, K-State at both gyms, etc.

Have you ever watched him shoot in warm-ups? Sometimes it's not very pretty. Plus at 6'2" or 6'3"ish he's pretty under-sized for a post player. If he or McBeth are on the floor in a non-blowout game we are in BIG trouble!
