I absolutely love what FH is doing. PG strickly, if Lucious commits We are set for 5 years just like that.. Who knows how good Tavon is or Odunsi is but lets just say Mcgee starts next year. Throw in Lucious the next year. When Mcgee and Lucious graduate, Tavon will be a junior with two years left. I assume Odunsi may redshirt, therefore when Tavon graduates Odunsi will be a 5th year senior starting at point. I love what Fred is doing, big things will happen starting next year.

I'd be willing to offer MU a nice, brand new, shiney quarter if they offer KL. Actually, that offer goes out to any school. After this year, I really don't understand the need to take a 1 year player. Seems desperate to me. I'd rather get a high school kid and have him come up through Fred's system.

What high school kid is going to help us win more than a 5th year senior in 2012? He will make us better in 2012 than anybody else we could sign (other than an NBA lottery type freshmen).
We won't miss the scholly next year, as there isn't anybody available in 2011 that would play for us right away anyway.
In 2012, he'll be eligible as a red shirt senior (top 50 outta HS). That is way better than all but the ELITE freshmen we could sign. Besides, we are in better with the 2013 guys (Jok, etc.) and his scholly will be available for use then.
We gotta get him if we can.

Hoiberg has already accepted forward Royce White, who left Minnesota following an arrest for theft and fifth-degree assault, and Chris Allen, who was booted out of Michigan State's program last summer for multiple violations of team rules. Now he wants Lucious, who was arrested on a DUI charge last summer and two weeks ago Tom Izzo dismissed him from the program. I'm not a judge of morality so I would never say whether a kid is good or bad. I also don't deny that those three players have some talent. Still, I have to ask the Mayor: Can you really win games with these guys? And is this the best way to build a program?" Wow...our fans and the media are fickle. First and foremost, we want to win. The media says we need to win. Now, we bring in actual Division 1 players that are much better than the recruits we have been getting out of high school and some fans and the media question why we are taking so many transfers...isn't the goal to win and win quickly? Fred wants to win and win now. No sitting around for 3-4 years getting "his" guys in and developed. This isn't football...quick rebuilds aren't out of the question in basketball but if this is the way we have to do it, I'm all for it.
I trust Hoiberg to know if the player is a) good enough to offer for 1 year of playing and b) he fits into the system and will help the team win games.

This is crazy, we need more McDeadlast recruits that can develop (and leave) or not develop and still leave.

Re: Visit Recap: Lucious sees opportunity in Ames, more on Marquette
But he was suspended for an exhibition game earlier this season after pleading guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving in September, and was shooting just 26.5% from the floor (22.6% from three) prior to being dismissed.
He was also suspended for a game last season after missing a class.
Here was what had him in trouble also.
CFH can help him work on his shooting.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

From what I have seen, Odunsi looks like the most physically ready for Big 12 basketball of all our incoming recruits, and that includes McGee. The only recruit I see that could benefit from a redshirt is Cook, to add strength, but his skill level is high enough to help us right away so I don't think anyone gets a redshirt.

I'm going to guess that the guys who scream the loudest about transfers also scream the loudest when the coach doesn't win.

If Fred can get Korie, a proven low percentage shooter, improved, this would be a big recruiting point for Fred. I'm really looking forward to what Fred can do this offseason with guys like Ejim and maybe even get Godfrey a 3 point shot like the Morris twins have now at KU.
