Thanks for posting! Had fun reading it.
I had forgotten that we were even waiting on an appeal for Royce at the beginning of the season. Looking back now, can you imagine where we would be if we had him? And Allen, Babb, and Booker were STILL waiting in the wings for next year?
A lot of people were questioning whether RW would ever play a game for ISU. Can we close the book on that now? Of course anything can still happen, we ARE Iowa State... but he seems legit. As Fred said, "he walks the walk."
Love the attitude!Quote:
The anxious mind doesn’t hold back. Hoiberg jokes that when he gets on the bus after road games, he’ll turn on his cell to find two to three text messages from Royce, usually noting how he won’t let some of those late-game mistakes happen to the Cyclones next season.
“He comes in every day and tells me we’re going to be undefeated next year,” Hoiberg says with a chuckle. “(I’m like), ‘Well, Royce, let’s take things one step at a time.’”
I'll be honest, he is much more intelligent than I ever imagined. Clever really.
Im more than happy to eat my words of scepticism about bringing Royce to Ames. After all the crap that he pulled up here it is nice to see him making the most of his fresh start.
Awesome attitude. Gotta love it!Quote:

He still has a whole Summer to get through. I like the path he is on so far, but plenty of time for a wrong decision to take place still.
Let's wait this one out.
Just being cautious. I'm definitely rooting for Mr. White though!
Impressive read. Sounds like RW is walking the walk. Quite a character too.
He's probably going to be way too jacked up for his first couple games at Hilton. I would be anyway. Good thing we'll have an exhibition game and hopefully a cupcake or two for him to get acclimated.
Everything in the article sounds great. I look forward to seeing him and the rest of the new players play next year.
My only concern is that his music ambitions, school, practice and the pressure of the game schedule do not become overwhelming for him.
