I actually think if Craig wouldve stayed plus Diante being let lose, we could be a contender! Probably, IMO, would have beneficial to both in hindsight. I just think what ISU could be doing doing with a big man that was relieved of the pressure of having to be the "man", we could be doing some special things right now! I mean the way we started the season and where we are at right now, Craig wouldve won us a few more games! I hat being the "woulda, shoulda, coulda" guy, but damn, he wouldve have had a huge impact this year! Maybe im stupid or something, but......

I honestly don't think he'd make much of a difference. He wasn't interested in defense (which we are sorely lacking) and our offense hasn't been much of an issue. The one thing I could see it helping is moving Ejim to his natural position, but which of the transfers are you willing to give up? Wasn't Chris Allen the last one to sign?

Considering the makeup and gaps in this year's team, if we're still playing what-if this late in the season, I'd put Hamilton on equal footing w/ Brackins.

Another reason — Brackins was almost certainly leaving, but if the coaching change had happened sooner, Hamilton might have stayed. So it's more realistic to play what-if.

And I can't say what might have happened.

Good example, because this sort of speculation could go on indefinitely.

I've often wondered what the 00-01 team might have done if Fizer had stayed for his senior year. I'm sure if everything else was equal, they wouldn't have lost to Baylor & Hampton at the end of the season. But there's a chance some of the dynamics of that team w/out Fizer (and Nurse & Johnson, by the way) wouldn't have been as driven, as a unit, somehow.

Etcetera.

just to be a dick: what if tim floyd wouldnt have left? isu wouldve been holding a national title right now! maybe more!

probably would have 2 or 3 championships, the big 10 would have been knocking on ISU's door! Then ISU would have the funding to get the football program off the ground.
