Fizer, Mateen Cleaves and Alford make top 10

Reading the Ed O'Bannon section made me remember his playing days. That kid was money and fun too watch in college. Him and his brother were very talented, looks like injuries killed his career.

I would like to see a thing on college players who stock plummented after coming back to college for an extra year. Whether it be injury, bad play, or team issues that caused it.

Fizer didn't have a great NBA career, but he wasn't the bust people make him out to be. He was getting better and then had the knee injury. There are much bigger busts in NBA history, although I guess the point is that given his college career he disappointed.

O'Bannon was a beast in college. I was a big fan of that '95 UCLA team. The O'Bannon bros, Tyus Edney, Cameron Dollar, and Toby Bailey who seemed like he was going to be a huge star after his freshman year.

Miles Simon should also be on this list, probably instead of Mateen.

Alot of people forget that not only did he have the knee problem but he got caught with a gun a couple times and he didnt have a license..
Also the last year he was playing he was the front runner for 6th man of the year in the nba but then got hurt and got in trouble and he went to europe after that and dominated

I think you're remembering this wrong. His best years were his second and third (which was cut short by injuries) after that he played four or five more seasons but never averaged double figures.

I know we're all quick to defend Fizer because he's one of our own, but there are plenty of guys just in the last 15 years that should be on this list ahead of him.

How about Joseph Forte of UNC? He was 1st team AA and ACC POY in 2001. Played 2 seasons in the Assoc. averaging 1.2 ppg. That's not a typo.

Or Wayne Simien from KU? 2 time AA, Big 12 POY as a Sr., flamed out of the Assoc. after 3 seasons where he averaged around 3 ppg and 2 rpg.

Or Jacque Vaughn from KU? Left KU as the school's all time leader in assists, and also holds the Big 8 assist record. Played 12 years in the Assoc but only averaged 4.5 ppg and 2.5 apg for his career.

Anyway, that took me about 15 minues of research, and I got 3 that are arguably more worthy of this list than Fizer. You can probably add Greg Oden to this list in a few years as well.

Vaughn was a long time pro, he was by no means a star but he had a more legitimate career than any guy on this list or that you named. He was at least a solid backup PG.
