Never fun to lose, but the fact that we outrebounded them says a lot to me...great effort by our guys tonight.

Next possession he comes down and misses a wild shot. He didn't score again until 2 seconds left; when it was already over.

I'm not blaming this one on him though. Actually, I applaud the entire team including DG; tonight they played with hustle and never quit. They are under-manned and under-sized but despite that were in it until the end. I don't mind losing. I don't like people giving up. Or not hustling. Or doing stupid things. Or choking. None of those things happened tonight and mostly none of these happened this entire season; except the last one.

I do want to make one comment. Bubu did not play in the 2nd half and I thought that was a great move by Coach Hoiberg. Jake was playing well and so was Scotty. While they were tired it wasn't to a critical level. Keeping Jake in there kept the chemistry going. It worked and was a good move by Freddy. Jake played great in the second half folks. Railey also played well as did Calvin and Ejim. Really, everyone contributed as this was a good team effort. Lots of things to like about this game even though we lost. And no I'm not gonna dump on DG, sorry to disappoint.
There was also a period when DG was not in the game and our offense came apart.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Just got back from the game. Man, two more guys to utilize off the bench and that would have been a win. Jake was having fun out there tonight. Fun to watch.

Screw it...I couldn't be happier with this team. They play their guts out and we play toe to toe against the top of this very good conference. The future is very bright!

I didn't see much of it, but listened to most. Rebs were the stat I wanted to see because it sure seemed we got killed on the boards. Great job out rebounding the #5 reb margin team in the country on their court.

Anyone else think that even when Jamie comes back, he's gonna lose some playing time to Godfrey and/or Railey? Godfrey allows so much more scoring opportunities inside, not to mention the rebounding we got from them. Once healthy, I think Jamie will still start but I really want to see these guys come off the bench a lot more. I think they earned it tonight.

Not really. Jamie stretches the floor, and has been avoiding fouls. Iowa State needs a shooter like that on the court. Godfrey and Railey rack up too many fouls and offer no offense right now.

I'm proud of the Cyclones. Tremendous effort tonight. I loved the way they were diving after loose balls, playing tight defense, and rebounding. Brighter days are ahead. Go Cyclones!!!

The moment that really showed me something tonight was Ejim's reaction with just a few seconds remaining in the game. We had missed a shot and fouled A&M and they showed a shot of Ejim slapping his hands together and he looked ******. We are now 1-10 in Big XII play and it would be easy for these guys to have lost that fire, that desire to give it their all, and to fall into almost a bit of apathy. The reaction I saw from Ejim tells me these guys are going to go down fighting all the way to the bitter end. No crying, no woe is me, none of that... these guys still think they can get the job done. I respect the hell out of that. Very proud of the team and the staff for their continued efforts regardless of the results.

I was looking at my ESPN gamecast and the stats for our game and it says Anthony Booker had 1 rebound off the bench. How dumb are they to put that on there? Lol.

I think that he SHOULD lose some minutes. When JVB is on the floor, the offense seems to bog down into a continuous 2 man game with DG. And he adds basically nothing if he's not hitting. I'm all for him starting, but if his shot is off, Godfrey and Railey need to see more time. I was impressed with Railey tonight. I think that there's a reason why the rebounding was better tonight...they had better rebounders on the floor.
