I know this is a huge what if but if we get an early commitment from Jok for 13 is it possible that Cook would fall off the radar?
Does anyone really know where we stand with Jok at this time? I hear good things but they were just commenting on KXNO the other night that they feel Iowa has a really good shot at getting him. Fran has been to many games and is palling up with Peter. I know Fred has been around as well, just wondering if anyone is in the know?
Jok's stock has been slowly falling the older he gets. Once his size isn't the advantage it once was his skills are about average D1 talent. I believe this kid will fall to an Iowa or Iowa State and have a huge list of big names on his recruiting resume, that basically give up on him.

I don't think Jok's stock has fallen all that much. He's had a down year in comparison to expectations but he's been battling knee injuries as a result of growing pains.
I will puke if we lose Jok to Iowa. Why would any Iowa kid, other than the brain washing, want to go to Iowa for basketball? Even in Iowa's best years, Carver was still dead in comparison to Iowa State. Iowa State has way more upside from a fan excitement standpoint than Iowa. This will translate into a more exciting and rewarding career for the player. Throw in the thousands of Iowa State fans that will trek to Kansas City at the end of the year to support them, especially if they are good, and it is no contest. Iowa can't compete with that.
You must be forgetting the Tom Davis Iowa days? When he left if 1998 that season was all time worst attendance at 13,963. Obviously it has declines intensely since then but Iowa State's history is lower then Iowa's.

Iowa State is the leader between the two schools by a large margin.....but things can always change.
They also mentioned that he has grown and getting close to 6'8". He could have an outstanding skill set if he is actually that height!
I stood next to Jok at Roosevelt the other day. I'm 6'6" and he was probably 2 inches taller than me. He also had a pair of Iowa State shorts on under his Roosevelt workout shorts so I took that as a good sign.
