Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
At first, I wondered where these coaches found time to stand around and shoot 25 free throws. Then I saw the video and watched him make 14 free throws in 58 seconds! Must have taken him all of a minute and a half to complete 25.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it looks like Fred beat out Alford and has advanced to the Final 4 bracket - nice work Fred! I couldn't bring up the RESULTS page though, so I'm not sure how it ended. Shots from the Heart: Head Coach Tournament
Also, there's a short article and pic of Fred on their homepage right now.... Shots from the Heart - “I’m not a spin my wheels type of guy." - Coach Paul Rhoads -

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
Since it was sudden death does this mean Alford is dead? Could be cool.

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
That is pretty impressive for Fred to beat Alford. All Alford hate aside, he is considered one of the best, if not the best free throw shooters in NCAA history.

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
Once again Fred proves he's the man.

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
202 in a row is just ridiculous.

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
Not going to lie that him beating Alford would make me pretty happy. And I think I know Alford well enough that it probably won't sit very well for his ego to lose to an Iowa State guy :)

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
I predict we might have a lot of success at the Charity Stripe in the future.

I hope this gets some pub down in Houston during CBS final four coverage!

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
In the recap for the shoot off it says Alford made 51 in a row and Fred made 102 in a row.

Re: Hoiberg and Alford going to sudden death
Its too bad McRoy got beat in this round. Made all his free throws but the other guy made 148 in the shoot-off?? C'mon man...
