I think you can make a case for Godfrey being player of the game today. Huge blocks, got a steal at a crucial time, and perfect from the line.
Gotta admit...when they nailed the 3 with 3 seconds left in regulation, I thought we were done for. Way to man up Cyclones!
+1 on all fronts. 1. I did think "oh no not again" we just wouldn't have any luck at all if it weren't for bad luck. and
2. If anyone has any doubts about the future of this program look at how far Godfrey has come with just 2 weeks of playing time. His performance/(hate to call it learning curve) is just going up and up. I was impressed with his first half and his freethrow shooting was a great shot in the arm.
Luts and Fred clearly are great together. We need both to be here for years to come. I'd like to see Anderson stick around and he and Godfrey can share some of that toughness with the whole team.

I'd also like to make the comment that our fans are freaking awesome. With the losing streak on top of the misery of the last four years, no other fanbase would have as many fans as we do showing up for games. It's incredible.

Amen. It is amazing. And we show up thinking that we can win, and last-place teams/fans aren't supposed to think that way.
We send out Nebraska the only right way, and we kill off their last tournament hopes. Not bad.
