    then I say we go after this guy, Brandon Davies Stats, News, Photos - Brigham Young Cougars - ESPN

    He got dismissed from BYU for violating the honor code. I would much rather take this guy than Lucious or Karron Johnson.

    since its the mormons his violation was probably swearing or watching a rated R movie. and yes watching rated R movies isnt allowed in the mormon culture

    with this loss it also gives SDSU a chance to upset BYU in the conference tourney now unless BYUs others players can rotate in and step up

    Davies was one of Jimmer Fredette's favorite targets in the post, ran the floor well and gave the Cougars length and size inside.

    Depends on what the violation is. As hawkeyeh8r implies, considering it's BYU, it could be anything - from something that is considered completely innocuous outside of Mormon circles but deemed socially acceptable anywhere else (such as the swearing or watching "inappropriate" movies, or even possibly playing a pick-up basketball game on a Sunday), then I agree - if available, pick up without hesitation. But if it's something that is more on the severe side, not just not acceptable with Mormons but not generally socially acceptable, I'd be a lot more cautious. Sure, right now we're reaching out to players with questionable reputations to quickly address our needs for talent, and I'm fine with that. Just be cautious.
