Lucious is a very good player 4 star kid and top 50 talent. He played on a team of studs that went to 2 final 4's with NBA talent. His job was to play defense and run the team which he did very well. His experience will be a great help in 2012. There are no high school kids on our list who even come close to Lucious high school ranking. Enjoy the year he is here he will be special. Great get! to Quote Andy Katz.... Some of you must you think you have more knowledge that mr. Katz...

Again, high risk, high reward strategy. The only way it would be high risk would be if we only had 8 scholarships to give away or were recruiting/retaining like it's the McDermott years again. Lucious will be a solid Big 12 PG in what will be a huge year for our program.

We have AT LEAST (fingers crossed) one open scholarship to give in 2011-2012 due to Elgin Cook going the prep route. Who exactly do you all think we could've gotten that would be able to contribute in either 2011 OR 2012 and has more potential than KL at this point in the game?
This is a win-win for our program and KL.

Re: Korie Lucious commits to Iowa State
Provided he resolves whatever personal issues he has, he is basically a lock to play major minutes, at a minimum. Most likely, he will be a starter.
Any proclamation that he is a future All B12 player is a major, major stretch. I have no such expectation.
But, as a general rule, you should probably sign a probable starter if you get the chance. Even if you only get him for one season.
